If you worry about the formation of fine lines and wrinkles around your mouth, Sculptra® can help. Sculptra® treatments by Mayo clinic-trained, board-certified Nashville plastic surgeon Chad M. Robbins, M.D., F.A.C.S., are specially formulated to deliver a smoother, refreshed look to the smile of Nashville and Franklin area patients.
How Sculptra® Works
Robbins Plastic Surgery is proud to offer an array of dermal filler and injectables to create the unique, enhanced look you desire. Unlike other facial fillers, Sculptra® contains synthetic poly-L-lactic acid to promote your body’s natural collagen production while smoothing wrinkles, lines, or hollow pockets of your skin. Sculptra’s ability to stimulate this growth means long-term results for our Nashville area clients. If you are interested in a skin rejuvenation treatment that promotes your body’s natural processes while reducing signs of aging, contact our Nashville office today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Robbins.
The Sculptra® Treatment Process
Sculptra treatments are a minimally invasive process completed over the course of about one treatment each month for three months. On average, the Sculptra® treatment process is completed within three to four sessions. The length of treatment time varies based on the size of the treatment area and depth of the wrinkles targeted.
Candidates for Sculptra® Treatment
Healthy adults with a desire to reduce the appearance of smile lines and smooth medium to heavy wrinkles are considered excellent candidates for Sculptra® treatment in the Nashville area. Sculptra® is a synthetic formulated gel-like injection, so it is typically safe for use by individuals with many allergies.
Clients with a desire for immediate results should not undergo Sculptra® treatments as final results are revealed after the treatment process. Dr. Robbins offers a number of treatment options that produce immediate results including Botox®, Juvederm®, and Radiesse®. More information on the many different facial filler options provided by the Robbins Plastic Surgery office can be viewed by visiting our dermal filler and injectables page.
What Recovery Time is needed after Sculptra® Treatments?
Recovery time varies for each patient undergoing Sculptra® treatments as each treatment session may require more than one injection to achieve optimal results. After your Sculptra® injections, you may notice some swelling and slight bruising of the targeted site. This is normal and will typically subside two to three days after each treatment.
The Lasting Effects of the Sculptra® Difference
The biggest advantage of Sculptra® Aesthetic over other dermal filler treatments is the duration of the results. Because Sculptra® promotes the natural collagen production process; visible results can last up to two years. Most dermal fillers are absorbed into the body after three to six months, at which point they stop being effective; Sculptra® Aesthetic produces new collagen, which fills in deep pockets, wrinkles, and facial lines, resulting in a smoother, healthier, and more youthful appearance. Because new volume comes as a result of the body’s natural processes rather than artificial filler, results can last significantly longer.
